My black, mesh picking bag is hanging by the door, Mushroom scented now<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My Nikon sits upon the window sill,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Its memory card with hardly room for more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mushrooms are still out there for the deer<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but I\u2019m done picking morels for this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For I have have had too much<\/p>\n\n\n\n
of morel picking; I am overtired<\/p>\n\n\n\n
of the great harvest I myself desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dehydrator yellow-stained with spores,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
trays all empty now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Large Rubbermaid containers now are stuffed<\/p>\n\n\n\n
with morels; packed away in pantry drawers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Others may stumble on my spots I fear,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
